Author: Prof. Koji Murata, currently working at the Wood Processing Laboratory, Department of Forest Sciences and Biomaterials. He graduated from the School of Agriculture at Kyoto University in Japan. Present research overview: analysis of Mechanical properties and Physical properties of Wood and Wood-based materials; strain analysis of wood using Digital Image Correlation technique (DIC); development of industrial products made of fast growing trees and local hardwood.
