It was launched on October 22, 2008. CBK PAN collaborated on two experiments in this project. IR Spectrometer SIR-2 was designed and manufactured for lunar surface observations covering the wavelength range of 0.93-2.4μm with resolution of 6nm. The second instrument CBK PAN was responsible for  the Deflector subsystem. Poland created mechanical design and manufactured the instrument.
