RPWI/JUICE. The JUpiter ICy moons Explorer ESA L-class mission JUICE will perform advanced investigations of Jupiter and its system. The RPWI Radio & Plasma Waves Investigation is one of the scientific payload instrument. RPWI consists of a highly integrated instrument package that will carry out measurements that allow for comprehensive science investigations of the space environments around Jupiter primarily near Ganymede, Europa and Callisto and monitoring radio wave emissions in the Jupiter system. The CBK PAN responsibilities are: Digital Processing Unit DPU, the four booms and sensors for the Langmuir Probe & Plasma Wave Instrument LP-PWI, radio antenna for RWI.
SWI/JUICE. SWI – Sub-millimeter Wave Instrument is one of the JUICE payload instruments created to investigate the temperature structure, composition and dynamics of Jupiter’s stratosphere and troposphere, and the exospheres and surfaces of the icy moons. SWI is a heterodyne spectrometer that uses a 30cm antenna and works in two spectral ranges 1080-1275GHz and 530-601GHz with spectral resolving power of ~107. CBK PAN is responsible for the delivery of SWI DPU (main computer) and PSU (power supply unit with programmable bias lines for microwave SWI blocks).
