The 2024/2025 additional recruitment for the GeoPlanet Doctoral School is conducted through a competitive process. A person may be admitted to the doctoral school who has a master’s degree, an engineering master’s degree or an equivalent degree.
The candidate is expected to:

We require all candidates to be predisposed to research work and to be fluent in English. Other specific requirements are listed next to each subject. Candidates are expected to contact their selected supervisor promptly.
Recruitment continues until January 24, 2025.
Interview date: January 28-29, 2025.
Interview result: January 31-February 5, 2025.

Required documents:
- Application for admission to the doctoral school, along with consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the recruitment process and a statement that you have read the Regulations for Recruitment to the GeoPlanet Doctoral School. Application form template GeoPlanet
- A copy of a master’s degree or a certificate of completion. Note: If the candidate does not have the above documents, he/she is required to provide them before admission to the doctoral school.
- A list of grades obtained in the first and second degree programs or a list of grades obtained in the course of uniform master’s studies.
- Resume including the course of previous education and employment. Resume template
- A letter of motivation containing a brief description of scientific interests, scientific achievements, a list of publications, information on involvement in scientific activities (membership in scientific circles, participation in scientific conferences, internships and trainings held, awards and prizes received), and justification of the intention to study at a doctoral school. - Certificates or other documents proving the degree of proficiency in English if the candidate has them.
- At least one letter of recommendation from the candidate’s previous academic supervisor or other academic staff member on the candidate’s past academic activities.
